Bryan lesseraux Website Design Brooklyn NY
Web Designer, Art Director & Critical Thinker
Website Design Brooklyn, NY
I honed my artistic talents in grade school, drawing muscular super heroes and unsolicited caricatures of my teachers. In college, I rendered finely detailed anatomical studies by day and painted big abstract canvases by night.
My dad was a “designer.” He had books on Eskimo etchings, found-object collage, and really funky chairs. I liked them, but they were hardly as appealing as a good comic book or a whiz-bang surrealist illustration.
And then something happened: after freelance illustrating for a while, majoring in Philosophy, and following my wanderlust through Latin America, the whole design thing began to take form. I learned Photoshop and Quark so that I could make my own illustrated books. Then I realized I could design websites and it’s been an absolute obsession ever since.
My career has run the gamut from Graphic Designer to Creative Director to V.P. of Marketing. My specialities include: visual design for web and print, information architecture, advanced Photoshop composting, vector illustration, Flash animation and front-end development. And I’m no slouch when it comes to copy writing, business development, and the intricacies of web marketing.
I am currently employed as Director of Business Development at Long Island web design company, Brainstorm Studio.

Mark Lesseraux
What self-respecting web designer doesn't have a close friend (or family member) in a really cool band? I recently developed this site for my very talented brother to support his latest EP, The Breakdown. It was a fun project that included lots of jQuery modules, lovingly handcoded pages, and some filial solidarity.

Piccola Bussola Restaurant Group
Piccola Bussola is one of my favorite restaurants, so when I got the call to design their website I was hoping to get paid in puttanesca. Alas, I was paid in greenbacks and forced to crop and color-correct dozens of photos of their very delectable menu items.

Earthdriver.Org
Funk collective, Earthdriver, is a veritable who's who of top New York independent artists and studio musicians. I built the website way back in the day (with old-school tables to boot) and am currently moving it over to a Wordpress platform. CSTL (Center for Science Teaching & Learning) - Brochure
"The crazier, the better," was the direction I received from CSTL for their new promotional brochure. "Think wild and fun, not dry and scientific." I heeded their words and created a multi-hued comp complete with insects, space scenes, dinosaurs and Da Vinci drawings. To my delight, they went for it. In the final analysis, I'm not sure if the design is properly eclectic or a bit overwrought. Nevertheless, it remains a sentimental favorite of mine.
